It Happens At Johnson's Ranch!
Throughout the year, Johnson's Ranch is involved in many events,
such as the July 4th parade of boats and fireworks show, the annual
Christmas parade of boats, the New Year's Eve fireworks show, the
Boo Run benefiting burn survivors, the Uncertain Rendezvous motorcycle
side car rally and many fishing tournaments.
Johnson's Ranch has also been the temporary headquarters for movie
crews filming movies and documentaries in the Caddo Lake area. In
2010, two movies were partially shot on Caddo Lake - "Uncertain,
Texas The Movie" and "Jaws 3D".
Parades
The JOHNSON'S RANCH parking lot is THE place to view
Uncertain's annual parades and fireworks displays. Parades follow
the shore line of Big Cypress on July 4th and the 3rd Sunday of
December when cleverly decorated boats pass by. DJs, live bands,
entertainers and vendors provide a festival mood along the bayou.
(There is no admission for parade entries or viewing.)
Movies
Over a dozen movies have been filmed on and around Caddo Lake!
Film crew (above photos) from the movie "Jaws 3D" use
Johnson's Ranch as the staging area for filming operations on Caddo
Lake.
Benefits
The annual Boo Benefit and Boo Run benefiting burn survivors and
"Camp I'm Still Me" brought hundreds of motorcycle riders
