Cabins
Two Cabins and a mobile home provide
clean, comfortable, reasonably priced lodging on the 500
foot stretch of waterfront that is JOHNSON'S RANCH
MARINA, the center of activity on the Texas side of
Caddo Lake. Updated and newly decorated, the lodging offers
the rustic charm and nostalgia of fishing camps from days
gone by, with a modern touch. Each unit has A/C, heat,
TV and a well equipped kitchen. Bed linens are provided.
Guests are asked to bring bath linens. Each unit has a
charcoal grill, but charcoal is not provided.
Possum Trot has two bedrooms, one
with a double bed, the other with 2 doubles and a single,
and sleeps up to 7. A central kitchen provides a refrigerator,
new range and pots, pans, dishes, etc. A bath with shower
connects the kitchen and smaller bedroom. Rocking chairs
on the large screened porch of Possum Trot give
guests the opportunity to catch a little lake breeze while
relaxing with friends and family.
Possum Trot has an interesting story.
When this cabin was newly, the waters of the 1958 flood
rose to the window sills (See photo below). The floors
are a bit unlevel as a result, but that's considered just
another chapter in the history of JOHNSON'S RANCH.

Knotty Pine, so named because of
the handsome interior 1950's knotty pine paneling, features
one large room with a queen bed and a double bed, small
sofa, compact kitchen with full refrigerator and apartment
stove and bath with shower. Bed linens are provided and
you are asked to bring bath linens. Here too, a long screened
porch faces the water and a view of the water. Knotty
Pine sleeps four. (This cabin is Dottie Carter's favorite.)
Knotty Pine is priced at $75.00 per night.

Rollin' on the River is the name
chosen for the mobile home. A glance from the bay window
facing the water tells that story. Rollin' is roomy
enough for all sorts of activities. The kitchen is well
equipped. Bed linens are provided and guests are asked
to bring bath linens.
Rollin' on the River is priced at
$100.00 per night. There is a 10% city/state tax.
Johnson's Ranch now has two screened-in
cabins with access to outdoor bathroom (including
shower).Charcoal grill and picnic table provided. The
fee for the camping shelters is $20.00 per night.
